I hope this month’s newsletter finds you well and excited for a new year. 2020 has been challenging (to say the least), and I am looking forward to taking some much-needed time off over the holidays to decompress.
I am also planning to spend some time over the break organizing my year-end financials and setting new goals for 2021. That includes digging out my personal legal documents to make sure they still represent an accurate snapshot of my life. The pandemic has certainly caused me to rethink some of my wishes, and I want to ensure they are reflected properly in my documents.
I’d like to encourage you to do the exact same thing … especially if you have a Special Needs Plan for your child. If all of your documents are organized and handy, it should take you less than an hour to review everything. If your child’s plan is not easily accessible…resolve to change that in 2021.
If you don’t have a Special Needs Plan for your loved one with disabilities, then please make this the year that you get it taken care of once and for all. It is one of the most important things you can do for yourself and your family, and it will give you comfort and peace of mind for the future.
P.S. The Social Security office in Fairfax has moved! Check out the article below for all of the details.
